AERIAL MAPPING DRONE
An Aerial Mapping Drone are used to map an area such as a construction site by using a special program designed for aerial mapping.
The site to be mapped is specified by the programs parameter selection and the drone is flown over the site. Once completed the drone returns to the home base, and data is collected, analysed and put on a cloud based server and within minutes the final product is available to make the decision.
The entire process is automated from take off to landing. The Aerial Mapping Drone will map the entire area and is fully automated.
If the site is a very large one, multiple flights may be necessary. Total drone surveying flight prep and execution takes about an hour. The final map is used for comparative analysis and the map is made in overlays overlays to fit
with the design blueprints. To ensure accuracy, ground control points are also added. After flight completion, the images are uploaded to the cloud based server. Within minutes the processing is finished and the imagery is made into an ortho-mosaic, a 2-D map, or a 3D rendition.
